BY ANDREAS | It’s safe to say that New York City‘s hospitality scene is one of the most dynamic on the planet, and especially the top segment has seen a flurry of new openings in recent years. Six years after opening its first property in Greenwich Village, Walker Hotels ventured a couple of blocks south to set up shop in Tribeca, one of Manhattan’s most vibrant neighbourhoods. The new property, aptly called Walker Hotel Tribeca, occupies a former ribbons and buttons factory built in 1899 by architect William H. Birkmire, and features 171 stylish guest rooms and spread across ten floors.
