Akash Sharma has over 10 years of real estate experience, including sourcing, evaluating and executing direct investments in excess of $1 billion in total capitalization, and asset management of over a two million square feet portfolio of core, value-added and opportunistic assets.
Akash formally began his investing career at CIM Group, the $19 billion real estate private equity firm. During his tenure, Akash completed over $500 million in investments and worked on a variety of transformative projects, including the acquisition of 432 Park Avenue (the tallest residential tower in the Western Hemisphere). To complement his equity side transactional experience, Akash joined Clairvue Capital Partners (now Stepstone Real Estate Group) in early 2012. At Clairvue, Akash’s responsibilities entailed undertaking secondary investments in funds and evaluating preferred equity investments in operating companies and joint ventures.
Akash graduated from University of California, Berkeley with a degree in Economics, Dean’s List.
